28η Detrop-Oenos 2019, “Tastes’ Discovery Zone”, 2-4/3/2019, Thessaloniki – Organized by Chef stories

Chef stories organized for one more year, the side events of the biggest and most recognizable food exhibition, the 28th Detrop and the 7th International Wine Exhibition in Thessaloniki International Fair.  From 2nd until 4th March 2019, visitors had the chance to get to know products, people, companies, stories but most of all flavors. 

In a specially designed area in Pavillons 13, 15 and the area of Oenos at Velidio Congress Center, all the side events were held under the general title Tastes’ Discovery Zone, organized and curated by Chef stories.  In three thematic entities and events, we discovered and revealed all contemporary trends in gastronomy,  through the unique products of the exhibitors of  Detrop – Oenos 2019

In Pavillon 13, at the Tastes’ Discovery Area visitors had the chance to taste products of the exhibitors, used in creative and delicious makings by our chefs.  Focusing in locality, innovation, special uses, creative use, in six individual thematic food stations, the exceptional greek products of the exhibitors were presented and promoted in an unmatched way.

In Pavillon 15, in the area of Tastes’ Discovery Workshops, during the three days of the exhibition, there were held thematic workshops by well known  specialists, about herbs and aromatic plants, coffee, olive oil and beer.  All participants had the chance to discover and study every single detail of the taste and aromas of different kinds of every product, with blind & non blind tastings.

Finally, in the area of Oenos in “I. Vellidis Congress Center” at the Wine Pairing Discovery Zone, there was a cozy and functional wine tasting point, where the ideal pairing of selected wines and spirits from the producers-exhibitors of Detrop and the right cheese, were presented by our special team, featuring the value of pairing by using in addition other products of exhibitors, such as spreads, olives, pickles, mushrooms, vinegar, creams, dried fruit, nuts, chocolate, etc,
