Supporting the market relaunch, the Tif Helexpo managed organized the 36th Hotelia 2021, as part of the Philoxenia exhibition, in Thessaloniki, the gastronomic side events of which organized for one more year Chef Stories.
Under the general title All About Gastronomy, the gastronomic side events were about the weapon and trade mark of the Greek hospitality, the Greek breakfast. With the theme “Greek Breakfast=tasteful hospitality” 8 events were presented to 400 visitors through 20 delicacies created by the Chef George Psillos and his team, with special innovative products from 14 awarded producers in a unique dining area.
The global trends in gastronomy which were amplified by the Covid-19 pandemic were presented as well as the interest in high nutritional value foods that contribute to personal treatment, the local identity and the openness in production as well as the origin of products, the need for special nutrition suggestions and plant-based products, alternative packaging and presentation options.
