Taste Halkidiki Fam Trip, September 2021, Organized by Chef Stories

As part of the Taste Halkidiki project and in order to attain as much as possible publicity, Chef Stories in collaboration with the Chamber of Halkidiki organized a 4-day familiarization & hospitality Trip for opinion leaders, food journalists from Athens, Thessaloniki and Halkidiki.

The Fam Trip was admittedly successful. Guests, organizers and producers enjoyed the full four days in beautiful places with a lot of flavors, aromas and emotions. The Fam Trip in numbers:

  • 4 days
  • 14 participants, who represent
  • 11 Mass Media
  • 795 km.
  • 16 destinations in the 5 Municipalities of the Regional Unit of Halkidiki
  • 8 visits to production units of the main products of Halkidiki: olive, olive oil, cheese, vine leaves, wine, honey
  • 2 different activities… surprise for the participants (beekeeper for a day & visit to an underwater wine-cellar!)
  • 14 visits to local producers
  • 2 visits to tourist accommodation units
  • 2 meetings with local cultural Associations for tasting traditional treats
  • 4 meals in local well-known restaurants
  • tasting of numerous products, listening to the stories of the local people about their products, places, traditions and flavors…

The trip ended up with the group’s visit to the 1st Taste Halkidiki Festival.
