Chefstories created by Helen and Sylvia Koumentakis in Thessaloniki, where their brand is highly valued. Talents united, with Eleni who loves cooking and Sylvia responsible for the marketing.
Utilizing fresh fruits and vegetables in their growth time, preparing homemade chutneys and jams from fresh fruits and vegetables: red peppers chutney with ginger, apple with cayenne pepper and others, as well as fruit jams (like the excellent pear with vanilla nuts or carrot with Orange zest…).
The chutney is ideal for accompanying platters of cheese or sausage and grilled meat, depending on their type. Their imaginative jams have many uses.
Their small unit, despite that, can undertake catering events with creative homemade cuisine which can cover from a…mom’s tupper and finger food to large events.
Everything is prepared with home care and superb materials.
The elegant jam jars and appetizing chutneys were tested by the the taste-cognite team of Athinorama, umami.gr.
We carry out our experience for some of them.
Chutney with red pepper and ginger: intense and pleasant taste of pepper, light ginger, moderate spiced and balanced sweetness. Good to very good. Combine it with pork tenderloin, grilled chicken or fresh white cheese.
Tomato chutney with thyme: sweet enough chutney with a strong sense of distinctive tomato and discreet thyme. Interesting, combined beautifully with cheeses of intense flavor.
Τhe onion chutney is dominated by the sweet and sour crispy onion. The smell together with strong vinegar makes it special.
The apple chutney with cayenne pepper is intensely spicy, with a good sense of apple but with a bit more vinegar.
The jam with pear and vanilla nuts has a very beautiful scent of fresh pear and delicately accented vanilla. Very good texture in the mouth and elegant taste. Very good.
The carrot with orange zest jam is original because the thick grated carrot keeps the texture crispy and combined with the orange gives a very interesting result with measured sweetness.
Everything is prepared with Greek raw materials, without preservatives, dyes and glucose using original recipes.
You will have the chance to taste them at the festival “Greece, a Celebration of Tastes” Spring 2014 at Technopolis.
