For the second consecutive year, Chef Stories organized the Halkidiki Chamber Business Awards 2022, which took place on September 8, 2022, at the Pomegranate Hotel in Nea Potidea, Kassandra, Halkidiki.
At this prestigious event, 13 businesses from Halkidiki were awarded. The event was held under the auspices of the Ministries of Development & Investments, Interior, Finance, Tourism, the Region of Central Macedonia, and the Central Union of Chambers of Greece, and was part of the parallel events of the 86th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF).
The event was honored by the presence of the Vice President of the European Commission responsible for promoting the European way of life, Mr. Margaritis Schinas, whose speech deeply moved the attendees. The Regional Governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, connected live via Skype to send his message for the event. Additionally, MEP Maria Spyraki and Deputy Minister of Interior responsible for Macedonia and Thrace, Stavros Kalafatis, sent their greetings electronically.
In his opening speech, the President of Halkidiki Chamber, Yiannis Koufidis, referred to the most significant action of the current Administration, which was the external projection of the Chamber and its connection with society. He also mentioned the systematic efforts to support entrepreneurship and the development of the region.
The event was attended by representatives of Parliament, local government, Consular Authorities, productive bodies, professional associations, and clubs, as well as the President of the Central Union of Chambers of Greece, Yiannis Masoutis, Presidents and Board Members of other Chambers of Commerce, Board Members of the Chamber of Commerce of Halkidiki, and numerous representatives of the business community.
The event was hosted by journalists Maria Samolada and Nikos Ypofantis.
During the reception that followed in the hotel’s outdoor areas, guests had the opportunity to taste unique dishes and wines included in the specially designed menu by the hotel’s chef team in collaboration with Chef Stories, showcasing the exceptional local products, sponsored by the dynamic producers of Halkidiki.
