With great pleasure and pride, we inaugurated our collaboration with the Fais group and the historic space of Agora Modiano in the heart of Thessaloniki!
In a specially designed area on the second level of the market, we had the joy of delving into the richness of Greek land, exploring olive oil and olives produced by renowned professionals from across Greece and sold at the stores of Agora Modiano.
We tasted unique extra virgin olive oils, learned about the production and flavor nuances from the producers, and discovered how to distinguish emblematic olive varieties that stand out both domestically and internationally.
At the masterclass, we sampled:
7 exceptional extra virgin olive oils from various regions:
- Kyklopas (Corfu)
- Agourelaio Sitia (Sitia)
- Sappho (Halkidiki)
- Thallon (Lesvos)
- Pamako (Makri)
- Stalia (Messinia)
- The Governor (Chania)
1 olive oil seasoning from Messinia:
- Green & Blu Seasoning
6 types of olives from different varieties and processing methods:
- Koroneiki (Crete)
- Kolovi (Lesvos)
- Byzantine Konos (Argolida)
- Green Halkidiki (Chalkidiki)
- Throumba (Thasos)
- Black Damaskinoelia (Family Farms)
The tasting was accompanied by slow-rising bread, oil rusks from Fournos Sousamli, and PDO Ladotyri from Mytilene.
