Two-Day Conference: “Implementation Progress & Results of the Local LEADER/CLLD TAPTOK Program of Samos Prefecture”, October 2024, Organized by: Chef Stories.

With great success and in the presence of local authorities and a large audience, the two-day conference organized by the Local Action Group  of Samos Prefecture was held on October 16, 2024, with the theme “Implementation Progress & Results of the Local LEADER/CLLD TAPTOK Program of Samos Prefecture” at the Epicurean Cultural Center in Sachtouri, Samos. On October 17, 2024, a guided tour and tasting were conducted at the Union of Winemaking Cooperatives of Samos (UWC Samos) in Malagari.

The event began with a presentation of the Local Action Group of Samos Prefecture and its initiatives within the framework of the CLLD/LEADER program by Ms. Angeliki Vourou, Director and Local Program Coordinator. She also showcased numerous completed projects from both the public and private sectors. Following that, Mr. Alexios Diakonikolaou, Civil Engineer and  Executive of Samos Prefecture, presented the actions for the 2021-2027 programming period. The subsequent presentations illustrated in a clear and detailed manner the stages of implementation and the management aspects of the programs, ensuring that beneficiaries were thoroughly informed.

Greetings were delivered by Mr. Ioannis Skoutas, Vice President of the Board of Directors of Samos Prefecture, Head of the Agricultural Development and Controls Department of Samos, and President of the Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Samos; Mr. Georgios Plakotaris, Head of the Special Management Service of the North Aegean Region; Mr. Elissaios Mavratzotis, Deputy Regional Governor of Samos Regional Unit; Mr. Paraskevas Papageorgiou, Mayor of East Samos; Mr. Themistoklis Papatheofanous, Mayor of West Samos; and Ms. Anny Andreadou, Regional Councillor for Education & Lifelong Learning.
