Just before summer, we explored the gastronomic treasures of Modiano Market, in the heart of Thessaloniki!
The masterclass “A Journey Through the Flavors of Greece” was organized for professionals in the hospitality sector and travel agencies. The aim was to present the Market as a focal point of tourist interest regarding the city’s local gastronomy, through a tour of its unique and representative products and the people behind them.
In a space specially designed for the masterclass on the market’s balcony, we discussed the significance of the countless gastronomic options offered by the tenants of Modiano Market and began our culinary walk, divided into two groups.
The shops we visited took us on a journey with their unique delicacies from across Greece and shared previously unknown stories about the production methods of their products.
Guiding us through this experience were Nana Zygoura, business development consultant, trainer, and collaborator with Chef Stories, and Sylvia Koumentaki, Director / Gastronomy Events’ Specialist & Consultant.
