It was the first time in 2017 that Thessaloniki Food Basket, as an event of Thessaloniki Food Festival, was presented. Thessaloniki Food Basket is a must. It is about selecting products of high gastronomic quality from local producers of the area of Thessaloniki and presenting them to the Greek public and abroad. The Food Basket represents the gastronomic identity of the town and at the same time through the Chef Ambassadors, there is a number of inspired recipes created with the products of the basket. Chef Stories presented for the first time in Athens, the Thessaloniki Food Basket 2017, in 48 Urban Garden Restaurant in Kotzia Square, in an event that gathered a lot of people involved in the gastronomy business and the media.
Chef Ambassador Ioanna Theodorikaki from Duck Private Chefing chose to make a lamb ragout, Nikos Tzoumas from Anassa, a vegetable mille feuille and Andreas Klavdianos from Local a Porketta.
