The presentation of Thessaloniki Food Basket 2019 took place in a special event during the last day of Detrop Oenos 2019, in Pavillon 13 at Helexpo and was organized by Chef Stories in cooperation with Thessaloniki Food Festival and the Tourist Department of the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
The three new chef ambassadors for 2019 were presented by Mr. Spiros Pengas, appointed counsellor to the Mayor of Thessaloniki, responsible for Tourism and International Relations, to gastronomy professionals, journalists, food bloggers and partners of Thessaloniki Food Festival who attended the event.
The Food Basket 2019 was full of products from producers of the area of Thessaloniki and represent the local cuisine of the town.The 2019 Food Basket included:

The 2018 Chef ambassadors Lambros Rossios, Antonis Moustakis and Dimitris Tasioulas, were awarded and passed on the torch to the new representatives of the modern cuisine of Thessaloniki Michalis Adamidis, Vaggelis Asimakopoulos and Yannis Hatziparasidis.
The new 2019 Chef ambassadors, talented and creative, presented a casual menu, inspired from the local products of the Thessaloniki Food Basket. The new menu:
